1. Who we are

CardamomNepal is a trading brand of Arun Valley Exports Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in Nepal with its export office in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Bagmati Province. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Arun Valley Exports Pvt. Ltd.

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to respond to your enquiry and fulfil an order. This typically includes:

• Contact details you provide, your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and country.
• Enquiry details, the product grade, quantity, Incoterm, destination port, and any sampling or private-label requirements you tell us about.
• Shipping and compliance information, the delivery address and importer details needed to prepare a phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and invoice.
• Technical data, basic, non-identifying information about how our website is used (such as pages viewed and approximate region), collected to keep the site working, improve it, and serve the advertising described in section 6.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you share only to:

• Reply to sample requests, quotes, and general enquiries.
• Prepare quotations, proforma invoices, and export documentation for orders you place.
• Arrange freight, customs clearance, and delivery of your shipment.
• Keep records required by Nepali export regulations and tax law.
• Send you order updates and, only if you have asked for them, occasional product or harvest updates.

4. Why we are allowed to use it

We process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to perform that contract, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as an exporter, and, for optional updates, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand your enquiry, your company name or your contact details to advertisers. The advertising on this site is served by Google and is described in section 6; it sees how you browse this website, never anything you write to us.

One specific note, because it changed in August 2026. Enquiries submitted through the form on this site used to be posted to a third-party form-processing service before reaching us. They are not any more. The form now submits to this website's own server, which checks the message and emails it to our export desk. Nothing is stored in a database, and no third party receives your enquiry.

Beyond that, we share your information only with the parties needed to complete your order:

• Freight forwarders, airlines, and courier companies handling your shipment.
• Government bodies that issue export documentation, such as Nepal’s Department of Agriculture and the relevant chamber of commerce.
• Banks and payment providers, where a transaction requires it.
• Trusted service providers who help us run our business, under confidentiality obligations. Currently that means our website host and our email provider, and nothing else.

6. Cookies and advertising

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes, and nothing else.

• Measurement. Google Analytics tells us which pages buyers actually read, so we know which grades and guides are worth expanding. It does not load at all until you accept it in the cookie banner.
• Advertising. This site carries advertising served by Google AdSense, which helps pay for the origin guides, lab explainers and price research published here. Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure those ads, and may use your prior visits to this and other websites to show you ads that are more relevant to you.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google’s own controls at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly at aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove the advertising, it only stops it being tailored to you.

Third-party vendors, including Google, are independent controllers of the data their own cookies collect. How Google uses that data is described in its Advertising Privacy & Terms notice at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Blocking cookies in your browser settings will not stop you using this site. Every page, price table, specification and the enquiry form all work without them.

7. International transfers

Because we export worldwide, your business information may be sent to parties in your own country, including your customs authority and freight agents, in order to clear and deliver your shipment. We share only what is necessary for that purpose.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Order and shipping records are kept for as long as Nepali tax and export law requires. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete it, or stop using it for optional updates. 10. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Access to enquiry and order records is limited to the team members who need it to do their jobs.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted here.
